KeymasterMotivation is an important aspect to keep in mind in all our activities. A way for us to keep motivated is by reaching out to our colleagues regularly and sharing experiences on how we are coping with challenging situations. Listening to others is an excellent way to protect our Mental Health.

KeymasterThanks, Samantha. that is a very good point that you have mentioned to promote volunteer’s participation by giving them occasional incentives. Definitely this is a good idea and we will put it into practice. Also, we are thinking that in this platform we can create badges for volunteers that participate the most and give relevant contributions.

KeymasterHello Federico. Great to have you here. Can you tell us where are you from, if you are involved with the Red Cross and for how long? Also, we have other forums in which you can share innovations and projects from your National Society. It is great to have you here in this virtual space.

KeymasterHello Donna, nice to meet you. I think the best advice I can give you is to follow the safety measures and guidelines of the OMS, IFRC, and other organizations. You can find them in the link below:
- RCRC Health Actions to Respond to COVID-19 (9 April 2020) – EN
- WHO COVID-19 Strategy (16 April 2020) – EN
- IFRC: COVID19 and Recovery (14 April 2020) – EN
- UNICEF: Rapid Situation Tracking for COVID19 SocioEconomic Impacts (Apr 20) – EN
Also, I will encourage you to continue posting here in this virtual space and interact with other volunteers to share best practices and what is happening in their local National Societies.
Thanks for your participation and I hope to hear from you soon.

KeymasterSaludos Davis, It is very interesting this that you share about the Panamanian RC. We appreciate that you have taken the time to share with us all these great initiatives, especially the one with Migrants populations. We know that they are vulnerable populations at great risk now during this Covid 19 pandemic. The RCRC is specifically motivated in supporting these vulnerable populations and I would like to share with you our website with more resources where you can find more information. https://media.ifrc.org/ifrc/what-we-do/migration-and-displacement/

KeymasterThanks for sharing what is happening in the Panama Red Cross. It is great to see that they are implementing new programs to help support the psychological well being of the population in these very difficult times. I am also from Panama and feel very proud of the NS and their volunteers.

KeymasterDefinitely the topic of translation is important. For this reason, we are promoting Digital volunteers to support different Ns in this important matter, translating documents, text and training materials in different languages. It is important to reach communities in their local language so the message is well understood.

KeymasterThanks Javier for your comments regarding distant First Aid training. I think that this will be a matter for us finding best ways to evaluate online learning. Maybe asking students to post a video following first aid techniques? I don’t know what will be the best way but I think that technologies provides us with lots of new possibilities and it will be a matter of taking advantage of all of them, adapt them, and use them in different contexts.
